  3. Of that BS&T/Chicago slew of horn bands that got so huge in the early s, Ambergris is one of the least known. But one of the best Jerry Wiese was in this band, and he had also been in the Al Kooper BS&T on Child Is Father to the Man.   8. But Ambergris' sole work is not a highlight of the scene by a long shot. Basically, Ambergris is a very bad early 70s rock album that happens to have a talented horn section in tow. And believe me when I tell you this: If it weren't for those horn charts, it would be abominable. They are the only saving grace for an otherwise enormous waste of.
